In addition to the buildings that make up the Shelton History Center complex, the Society holds collections that include over 2,800 vertical files holding more than 11,000 documents, 250 linear feet of books, rare books, and primary source documents. Our material cultural collection spans more than three centuries of Shelton history!
The Society holds these items in the public trust, to document, discover, and disseminate information that supports knowledge and understanding of events and people that have shaped local and regional history.
